Accepted Documents for Non-US Individual Accounts

In accordance with the industry standards and anti-money laundering regulations, itBit requires all our clients to verify their personal information using the steps outlined below.

Step 1: Scan a copy of your identity card and upload it on the “Settings” page listed under the “Account” tab. An identity is defined as valid when it meets the following criteria:

  • It is government issued and internationally recognizable (e.g. passport or national ID card)
  • It must be valid (not expired), legible and in color
  • It must not be edited or censored in any way
  • It must include your signature, where applicable
  • Resolution must be 300 DPI or higher
  • Format requirement: JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png)

Step 2: Provide a proof of residency. A proof of residency is considered valid when it meets the following criteria:

  • It must be a legal and traceable document (e.g. scanned papers, official PDF downloads, etc.) displaying your full name and residential address. Example of appropriate document include utility bill, bank statement, corporate resolution certificate, credit card statement, lease agreement, loan or mortgage application
  • The address must be your current physical residential address (no older than 6 months). P.O. box address is not accepted
  • Your document must be in English (Latin letters). Alternatively, certified translation need to be  provided
  • Your document must not be cropped and in full color
  • Resolution must be 300 DPI or higher

If your submitted document is unclear, edited, or in black/white, it will be rejected. Please avoid submitting your documents in such fashion to make sure your account can be verified accurately and successfully.
