How do I fund my account?

To deposit fiat:
1. Log into your account
2. Click on “Funding” at the top of the screen (note, this is the default landing page upon log in)
3. Select the appropriate account tab from which you would like to withdraw (e.g., "Wallet")
4. Under "Deposit", select the currency you plan to deposit
5. For fiat: Click the "Deposit" button and follow the "Cash Wire Deposit Instructions" in the pop up window

  • itBit processes wire transfers within 1 business day upon receiving deposits in our accounts, but we are still subject to regular bank wire transfer processing times.

Enhanced security & Deposit Assurance:

For Individual Accounts: Only deposit funds from accounts that are linked to the individual's name, and not from third-party bank accounts.  

For Institutional Accounts: Only deposit funds from bank accounts linked to the institution.

Please ensure your itBit wallet ID is included in your wire transfer instructions. Insufficient / missing account identifying information will lead to delays in fiat deposits, reversals and administrative fees imposed by the banks and itBit.


To deposit bitcoins:


1. Log into your account

2. Your default screen will direct you to itBit's funding page

3. Choose the wallet account you would like to fund

4. Under "Deposit", select the currency "XBT"

5. Click the "Deposit" button, a pop up window with your Bitcoin deposit address will appear, you can either send your bitcoins to this deposit address or scan the QR Code provided using your wallet service.

Our deposit address auto generates a unique value for each deposit transaction. Customers should rescan or input the new deposit address for any future bitcoin deposits.
